This year (2010), while at the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas, I had the priviledge of meeting Carl & Gypsy
Stark. They were gracious, warm people who gushed about their son, Jeremy, and asked if I would be kind enough to do
a carve of him. As I talked with them, I learned that Jeremy was born with Cerebal Palsey and had passed away the previous
year. He was a great fan of all things Sci-Fi, especially Star Trek. Carl & Gypsy were attending their
1st convention without their son to carry on his memory. I cannot express the immediate, emotional impact their story
had on me...right there in the convention, I had to step away and compose myself. I was heart-broken & inspired
at the same moment. Carl & Gypsy were getting autographs of Jeremy's favorite actors to carry on his legacy...
Jeremy passed away in the arms of his loving parents & touched me in a way I will never forget.
I have created this page in the hopes that everyone who reads this will also get to "know" him, and Jeremy can reach
more people than he ever imagined. I can tell his smile lit up a room, his joy exceeded those around him, and I
pray one day in Heaven to meet him in person...
